The obsession of Indians with fair skin is known to all. From the entertainment industry to the advertising world, everyone is seen giving a glimpse of their not so fair obsession with the fair skin.
Now, the Bollywood, which had escalated the idea of fair being the only lovely, has taken a step to vanish such regressive thoughts as soon there’s going to be a movie that will show the struggle of a Haryanavi girl who battles with the prejudices of society regarding fair skin.
For the project, titled ‘Unfair and Lovely‘, Randeep Hooda and Ileana D’Cruz are all set to team up, that too for the first time.
In the film, Ileana D’Cruz would play the role of a Haryanavi girl who battles the idea of ‘fair is the only lovely‘.
Talking about the film, a tabloid quoted her as saying, “This role is different from all my earlier work and a challenging one. The character requires a lot of sensitivity and I’m waiting to see how it unfolds. I can assure you that the film will leave you with a smile.” While Randeep shared, “I do have a lighter side to me and when I heard this story, I was instantly hooked.”
