VIDYA BALAN’S MOVIE TUMHARI SULU REVIEW : SHE IS THE WINNER AGAIN

Whatever the weaknesses of the film’s script, but the artist can make that film very interesting on the basis of his acting. The latest example of this is the movie ‘Tumhari Sulu‘, which can be seen only for the strong acting of Vidya Balan. National award winner Vidya Balan has played the role of a housewife who lives in Mumbai, in a middle-class family. The way she has played the role of an RJ is really amazing in the movie. Vidya Balan has presented humor, romance, along with her husband, comedy, helpless and many more with all the expressions in the form of tremendous and ultra-natural. Manav Kaul as Ashok has done a great job with his character too. Some of their frustration scenes are really emotional in the movie. Neha Dhupia, in the role of  radio station’s owner as Maria has given a commendable performance after a long time. As far as acting is concerned, Vidya Balan has proven once again that she can make any character memorable on her own. She takes the whole film forward with great ease on her shoulders. She believes in ‘I can do’, which makes her winner in many different types of competitions and suddenly, she becomes a late night radio jockey. She looks very comfortable in the form. Vidya Balan, Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia, Vijay Maurya, Mallishka, Abhishek Sharma, Seema Taneja, Shantanu Ghatak have done fabulous with their respective role.

Story :

The story of the movie “Tumhari Salu” revolves around Sulochana/ Sulu (Vidya Balan) who lives in Mumbai. Sulochana (Vidya Balan) is a middle-class housewife who lives with her beloved husband Ashok Dubey (Manav Kaul) and with her son Pranav Dubey (Abhishek Sharma). She does not have a luxury flat with three bedrooms, but she is happy. She continues to be a part of many types of competitions around the house. She also gets an award in ‘Nimboo spoon race‘. Self-confidence in Sulochana that ‘I can do anything‘ is her strength. One day, Sulochana thinks of becoming a radio jockey and she goes to audition at the local radio station. The radio station’s owner Maria (Neha Dhupia) feels a passion inside Sulochana. She gives her job as an RJ, to do the program that is going to be broadcast late at night. This program is given the name – ‘Tumhari Sulu‘. In this program, Sulochana talks to the listeners when they call, who want to talk and listen to flirting. While receiving full support from her husband, Sulochana finds herself like flying without wings. One day her son has been fired from school because of his wrong actions. Now she finds herself trapped between fulfilling her dream and becoming a perfect mother. Now Sulochana feels that believe of ‘I can do’ was merely an illusion. She leaves RJ’s job but do not lose courage with keeping in her mind about her son’s education, she does many other things like Tiffin service or some other works etc. How she fulfills her all dreams, is an amazing journey in the movie.


Director :

Surrej Triveni, who makes commercially advertising films, this is his first film as a writer and a director. The narrative style of the film is quite simple and realistic. The film starts with a slow pace, but then Vidya Balan takes charge of the film with her acting but after the interval, the film emerges with its story which joins people’s hearts so much that the audience remains connected to the film.

Music :

Sometimes you don’t need the wings to fly and Tumhari Sulu entertains the fans with such feelings with its songs. You will find every ingredient in the songs of the movie. All songs like Manva Like to Fly, Hawa Hawai 2.0, Baj Ja Rani, Rafu are really entertaining and enjoyable.
